Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are your Amigurumis safe for babies and toddlers?
Safety is my top priority! Most of my friends (like Beatrice Bear and Bruno the Dog) use safety pin eyes, which are securely snapped into place. However, because these can technically be a choking hazard if they somehow break, I recommend supervised play for children under 3.
Pro Tip: If you're buying for a newborn, just let me know! I can embroider the eyes with yarn instead to make them 100% "baby-proof."
2. Help! Froggy fell in a puddle. How do I wash my amigurumi?
Accidents happen! To keep your friends looking their best, I recommend a gentle spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. If they need a deeper clean:
- Hand wash in cold water.
- Squeeze gently (don't wring them—they hate that!).
- Air dry flat. Please avoid the dryer, or Cowlin might end up with an accidental "extreme" hairdo.
3. Can I request custom colors? (I want a purple Jessy!)
Absolutely! I love bringing your specific visions to life. If you want Jessy the Unicorn in galaxy colors or a Patchy the Bear that matches your nursery, just send me a message before ordering. I’ll let you know if I have the right yarn in stock!
4. What are these little guys made of?
I typically use high-quality yarns like 100% Acrylic and Cotton, and hypoallergenic polyester fiberfill . Also use Polyester for some Tote Bags. This ensures they are sturdy enough to hold their shape.
5. How big are the "Small Sea Turtles"?
They are approximately 4-5 inches long—perfect "pocket pals" or desk mascots. If you ever need exact dimensions for any item, check the "Description" tab on the product page!
6. How do I care for my handmade tote bag?
Our tote bags are built for daily use! Most are machine-washable on a cold, gentle cycle, but I recommend laying them flat to dry to prevent any shrinkage or stretching. Check the tag on your specific bag for material-based care instructions.
